Question 1.  

Where do you see your faith as described?  Little, Great or Perfect?

Do you have different depths of faith depending on the situation?  Why/Why Not?

Reflecting on your current season in life, can you see how you faith has changed?  What tests have you been through to demonstrate these changes?

Question 3.

Do you want your faith to grow in some or all areas of your life?  

What steps can you put in place to achieve these goals?

Question 4.

Read through the story of the storm as recorded in Matthew 8:23-27 , Mark 4:35-41 and Luke 8:22-25.  Jesus had spent a lot of time with the Disciples teaching about the values of the Kingdom of Heaven yet they hadn’t connect His teachings to the reality of this ferocious storm. Do you think Jesus was harsh on the disciples?

Question 5.

Read through the story of the Centurion recorded in Matthew 8:5-13 and Luke 7:1-10.

This Roman solider displayed what Jesus called ‘such faith.’  Do you think that the humility displayed by the centurion was key in having ‘such faith’?

He himself is described as one who give commands to others that must be followed.  His faith demonstrated the awareness that Jesus commands were followed, and that He didn’t have to be physically present where the sick servant was for the healing miracle to occur.

Luke’s version of the story adds that the servant was of great value to the centurion.  Do you think that impacted the centurions faith that Jesus could heal him? 

Question 6.

Read through various translations of John 5:19-20 and John 8:28.  How can you see Jesus statement being accurate in the encounter in the storm and with the Centurion? Does different wording in other translations impact your understanding?

How do you express your faith through hearing, seeing, speaking, receiving and refusing?
